My bag got lost once. I got it the next day. But in the meantime because I was on vacation I bought clothes and necessities and billed the airlines for it. They paid for the bill. 

“Montreal Agreement” I believe I referenced in the letter to the airlines along with all my expenses.

 Just food for thought. At the end of the day it’s their fault and you may have some representation based off that.
