Medtech startup Alimetry has secured $18 million in Series A2 funding for its wearable technology that helps diagnose gastric disorders. The device, which records physiological data, can support clinicians in identifying conditions such as neuromuscular gut disorders and sensory disorders. While the wearable is not yet designed to automate diagnosis, it can provide valuable insights for healthcare professionals.

The company plans to use the funding to expand access to its technology, with a focus on building relationships with hospitals and ensuring successful reimbursement billing. The U.S. market remains Alimetry's main target, with around 4,000 tests recorded so far.
