SABMF Decries State Of Economy
==========
The Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation (SABMF) expresses concern over the current state of the Nigerian economy. The director-general/CEO of the foundation, Engr. Abubakar Gambo Umar, states that the removal of petroleum subsidy has led to hardships for the population, including increased fuel prices and subsequent price hikes in other sectors. Inflation has reached an all-time high of 29.9 percent, making it difficult for citizens to afford basic necessities. The rise in fuel and transportation costs, coupled with a drop in electricity supply, has further burdened the earnings of Nigerians. Engr. Umar acknowledges the restlessness among citizens, manifested in protests in some states, highlighting frustration and dissatisfaction with the current economic situation.
