And "tolerance" and "multikulti" and "globalism" found fertile soil in existing ethnocentrism, parochialism and naiveté. Politicians often brag about the politics, e.g. "we are the world's first feminist govt", but the population is not the best and needs "enriching" and "education". It is a poisonous brew which have old roots.
