 Building a nostr native YouTube
We were just discussing that earlier. The biggest challenge seems to be hosting costs as you try to scale
Hosting costs are underestimated. Bitstream streams data for sats, bit by bit, in a trust-minimized way… the relay can’t take your Lightning payment unless they deliver the data requested by the user. https://www.hornetstorage.com/bitstream

Shoutout to Robin Linus of ZeroSync for inventing it!

If you don’t host videos across many relays, you are stuck on the centralized internet. That will not last forever, as we can see YouTube cracking down on innocent Bitcoiners.
This is nostr-native file storage with Lightning-enabled autopilot. We are starting by adding it to Iris with Martti.

It’s an evolution of LSAT designed to scale #nostr into a decentralized web.
This is super interesting and I want to understand how this works
Do you know how Lightning works? Essentially, you must reveal a preimage in order to claim a payment in Lightning. We leverage that system to deliver the data chunk: nostr:note1q7erwjnzgfe9s7pypakv20gr4wwzd6q0e7yqyxh658q5j2nw30qszslda6

Would be happy to explain it over voice if you’re curious!
