I've read books where children come alive and add to the story and others where it feels like the writer put more thought into the family dog. 😬 

To me, even if they struggle to count past ten, they're still little people worthy of respect and cherishing. 🤗 

Well, okay, I also write my animals much the same, but I write the adults that way too. 😃
