I use AI all the time, every day.  It's an amazing tool, but it's pretty stupid too.  These things come in bursts.  Just because we have these fancy LLMs doesn't mean AGI is here in a decade.

How long was the bronze age before they finally got the fire hot enough to smelt iron?  Long fucking time.

Technology grows in fits and spurts.  We just had a big spurt in AI tech... time to digest that and wait for another major breakthrough before anything reaches the heights that the hype has built
