yeah, i am fascinated by the theory of how they work... various sized nano particles that emit different spectra according to their size, so there is a full spectrum, very large number of different sized dots which all emit a different wavelength

i'm also really excited about finally having a desktop sized OLED display, they only have started to be produced in the last year or so at this size, previously only phones and giant tvs

i used to have a 4k IPS panel from Dell back in 2018, 24"... was really too small for the number of pixels, but i got used to sitting up real close to it and even still sitting at one side looking up at the corner on the opposite side felt like it was so far away because the picture was so sharp

so, yeah, 32" seems like the perfect size for this resolution, and i'm also a bit excited to have a display that literally only emits light when it's showing images, so even if it's on, if the display is black it's effectively going to be as dark as if it were turned off

and i'll be able to really control how much blue light, and hopefully fucking night light will just work and it will literally put no or nearly no blue light out at night time, and i'll be able to dim the display down to the point i can still see my surroundings from the dim light coming in from the town below
