Russian opposition figure Kara-Murza urges Russians from court not to give up after Navalny's death
==========
Vladimir Kara-Murza, a prominent Russian opposition figure serving a 25-year sentence for treason, urged Russians not to give up after the death of Alexei Navalny. Kara-Murza alleged the existence of a state-backed hit squad taking out opponents of President Vladimir Putin. He claimed there were two poisoning attempts against him in 2015 and 2017, and accused the Federal Security Service (FSB) of participating in his poisoning, as well as Navalny's poisoning in 2020 and the surveillance of Boris Nemtsov before his killing in 2015. Other opposition figures are either in prison, abroad, or dead. Navalny's family is campaigning to have his body returned to them, and his mother filed a lawsuit to contest officials' refusal to release his body. Russian authorities have said the cause of Navalny's death is still unknown and have refused to release his body for the next two weeks.
