I didn't say it, I made a comparison in how words were being used then and now. What I am saying is not the Trump and Hitler are the same, the same is the Hope of people that thinking one Candidate or another will save us from something. The same is how in a period of people very unsatisfied and angry with their government goes far until those people choose Strong personalities and make heroes of them hoping they will be our saviors. I am saying cheering for politicians is lame and counterproductive. I am saying that who you will vote will not save you from what is coming. We have to change the incentives, and different and maybe better people will show up.

That's exactly what it isn't. This is how they want you to think.. "blue or red, white or black, communist or fascist, with me or against me.." Dividi et impera. My choice is to not play their game. Also fortunately I am not a US citizen. My choice is to opt-out.

No, not at all. There will be differences on this and other policies. But slogans like “Trump or Communism” play so heavily on the emotions that it distracts everyone from the fact that we’re still barreling towards dystopia. Just at 60 or 90 mph, and Maga or Woke flavored. I think the image I’m attaching now is closer to the truth than the image in the original post. The strength of Bitcoin is that it can survive the state, and I believe its purpose is to starve the state. It is an inherent threat to the state. I agree with most of that, it's the after effects of populism. I just want to make the transition and path as survivable as possible. Maga and woke are two extremes and I don't vote because it makes no difference is also an extreme. I want to avoid all 3

gotta disagree with you here Do we need to change the system, yes. That does not mean everything will be the same no matter which one gets elected -both will have to print a lot of money (prob same) -one side is vehemently set against Bitcoin and will make life harder for Bitcoiners in the USA and this will be worse for the country as we head to wards hyper BTC -Overbearing taxes will make it harder to stack So my life as a Bitcoiner will be easier and I will end up with more with one of these candidates

this generation seems to have a had time understanding more than one thing being true at a time. the entire system needs a redo. yes true. some rulers are worse than others. yea true. the single point absolutism is weird.

Full communism, no probably not. A lot closer than I would like to be to communism for a second time in my life ... probably yes. My point is to address the I don't vote because it doesn't matter sentiment that we Bitcoiners carry. I get the meme, I get that we need a new system but with a free action you may make the journey to the new system a little less painful.

I see and get your point, and I also agree on how one side is more against than the other and so you'll choose the lesser of evils candidate.. will not go down on the incentives why one party or the other is more pro or against "Crypto" (he doesn't care and neither understands Bitcoin), because very likely we agree on that.. but again this was not my initial point. Very far from me saying US would be a better place if Kamala would be elected, much the opposite. But also wouldn't be better once Trump will (that's my guess/bet). All the thread started because the words "Trump or communism" were like a flashback of the propaganda I read when I was a kid and studied about Germany '30. What is a thing to me is how the world now resonate so much to what it was back then, as "atmosphere". Brink of collapse in society lead to authoritarian/extremic figures that initially are cheered for their promises of making the country great again.. lol wasn't intentional. Anyway sorry for the long answer, but what I wanted to highlight was more how people look, act and react at those figures more than which is better to be elected. 🫂

I understand, thanks for the thoughtful discourse. I do think that's an extreme statement and don't fully agree with it. I do think the vote will make a difference in how we Bitcoiners experience transition
