The Western Oligarchy is in a two-front war. First they are fighting against Russia & China, but secondly they are fighting against the Western Proletariat.

They are fighting the Proletariat in order to ensure that their power is not threatened by a populist shift of government - and their objective is to make sure everyone is sick, broke, afraid, and desperate so they cannot organize. To this end, they are destroying the infrastructure that makes the West function.

But on the other side, they need enough infrastructure to fight Russia & China, so they are caught in a predicament. If they pursue destroying the Proletariat then they destroy their own geopolitical power-base and will be conquered by Russia/China. If they do not destroy the Proletariat, they will lose control over the governments of the West.
