It's probably safe to say that most of the things claiming to be "Bitcoin Layer 2 networks" are of a questionable nature. But on the flip side, one should not automatically dismiss all second layer projects as scams. DYOR!

While of course I agree with this premise, the sad reality is that there are currently countless VC funded-scam-so-called L2’s out there… they are proliferating, almost at the rate of shitcoins, and it would be more than a full-time job to DYOR on all of them. Most seem to be looking to profit off spam on bitcoin one way or another.. it’s a mess
l2 is an extremely broad and new concept so it is to be expected that it gives way to all sorts of scams before more sophisticated protocols are invented
