August was a busy month and we filled up our pantry shelves with some amazing food. We were able to get a few food preservation projects done in August, and this is for the last half of the month.

 Nice work.
We passed on doing apples this year but we normally process 150lbs of apples a year…
We’re currently doing small batches of fruit syrups.
What is the big metal box on the stove?
That is our Amish Water Bath Canner. Oh wow that is a good amount! We use so many apples in everything that we always need about 52 quarts.
I’ve never seen one of those before!
I’m gonna have to look into that!
I couldn’t even guess on how many pint jars we normally end up using… lol
We got ours from Lehman's. It holds 18 pints but if get the additional shelf can hold 36 pints.
 Wow… 36!
Do you primarily use it with the quart jars?
We do! Having 15 quarts at a time helps cutdown on canning time.
 Nice!
 Nice!
