 They make a department that is supposed to relieve the tasks of physical hardware build outs or system building which is something I used to do.  Which makes sense as you scale you want to have more specialized roles for efficiency.

However they then start implementing a bunch of new procedures for hardware.  I overhear at the office that they are dissatisfied with the way my co-worker (manager) is handling my department because we are usually behind on projects due to scattered responsibilities within my department.  While there they tell me I shouldn't even ship replacement drives they don't want me doing anything with hardware.  I prefer handing things myself because I know I can do them correct.  Co-worker calls sick.  I handle everything myself for the next week and a half without supervision and try to best meet their expectations as a show of good faith it's not good enough because I never was supposed to meet the deadlines.

They cut my responsibilities, and implement their system as a way to operate, then when I fail to fully adapt to their new enigmatic way of documentation, requesting shipments, which causes delays, they get to point the finger at me and my department as proof we are either incompetent or that we need to be relieved of further responsibility.

It doesn't feel like they want to cooperate with us, it feels like they want to extinguish us or absorb us into their department.  Might be 🇯🇵 mindset but that's what I feel they are doing.  They chastised me in a public group chat I can only imagine what they are saying about us in person.
