Obviously I prefer the anarchistic approach, but I will advocate: build it, show it off, prove you have a good idea such that you get some adoption. Sometimes you can have a bad idea and you need to know as soon as possible, and what's a better way to find out than by building it. No such thing as gatekeepers in an open protocol.
I think there are plenty of ideas or people that disagree with the repo council, but don't fucking do anything about it. They whine about how good their idea is and that the council is just a bunch of idiots, but don't bother proving them wrong and fighting for it regularly.
My balls are bigger.
