My uncle, a Marine Corps Lt Col, always said pain is just weakness leaving the body. nostr:note1jgyvzt3kjlh9h7hlxxelrpjltpy2ejwuv2sd6tpna58at5r62xkqqa9d7g
I liked your uncle now! In eight years that I was about the regime of the Brazilian army, I had never heard this thesis. And I liked it a lot!

Noted!
Brazilians know how to fight! Brazilian jujitsu is the most brilliant hand-to-hand combat. Big fan of the Gracies, especially Royce.
An Army Ranger used to tell me that!
I guess it’s a thing with the gunners. It makes sense once you dig deeper. As in get over your self, literally.
I think getting trapped and hunted in a foreign country fueled his concept too. No room for weakness.
Yeah. My uncle was shot down (helicopter pilot) twice and survived to return to combat. The irony is that he had been in seminary before joining the Marines. His drill sergeant was a diminutive man who would stand on his toes and scream up at him “You hear me Preacher Boy?!”
The humbling is mandatory. You gotta know you probably will never have odds stacked in your favor to survive. If you can’t eat sh*t you won’t make it.
