I almost didn't go to vote as I was quite sure the incumbents would steal the election through their dirty apparatus and old tricks. So I'm quite surprised with the victory.
I don't put much faith in politics and I don't know why so many people keep saying that Milei is pro-bitcoin, though he kinda understands it. As far as I know he said he would derogate legal tender laws because he's pro freedom of choice in everything including currency. He said knowing argentinians, most would choose the dollar so the economy would de facto dollarize. So not really a Bukele style move, I doubt Bitcoin will get any PR with this. Anecdotally, he used to be sponsored by a company selling shitcoins and shitcoin education.
He seems to be against CBDCs and most of the Agenda 2030 BS, but it's mostly his vicepresident and close supporters that are much more vocal about it.
All in all I'm happy that the kirchneristas are effectively politically dead and some positive, pro freedom change should be happening in the coming years.
