During the russian occupation, she starved.
Late in March, an explosion destroyed her barn, smashed her windows and door. Although she was starving, she had continued to share food with her dog - who alerted neighours. Neighbours found her lying unconscious.
Sadly, she was too frail, and never recovered from the occupation, never saw her home liberated.
