i literally did not know that bitcoin wallet.dat was still not standard default HD keychain

how did we get this far into things withotu that becoming standard?

my work with btcd and btcwallet made me think that HD was the norm

it seems like it is not...

can anyone confirm whether if i have found copies of my wallet.dat that it's HD now or not? #asknostr
