Oddbean new post about login | logout Apparently they are trying to change The Waitangi Settlement Act allowed peace in NZ and the agreement between English settlers and Maori to form a nation. The Maori are not happy and rightly so.
The Maori should have their own nation. It is their land. They deserve the right to freedom and to preserve their heritage traditions. Not saying that they should kick everyone else out, but if they want to negotiate a new deal. Then they absolutely deserve it for all that has been done to their society.
