However.. I spent 10 minutes closing all ads, saying no to all suggested groups, blocking ad delivery accounts where possible, unfollowing old groups and pages... And it got a lot better! 

I see friends and family updates again! Try it!  

 I've done that, and it only last for a little while. The suggested posts/ ads come back
