I have heard about this, but so far none of my reservations got cancelled. I'll post publicly if it does happen to inform others.

Did you manage to find a new place or now it's in dispute with host? 

 Ooof... I have 2xBooking.com reservations. If dispute is not resolved would be good to document the case so others don't run into same trap.
