I published my original reasoning a MONTH ago on the development mailing list. It's not my problem if people who are using testnet don't read the mailing list. They really should!
I did read the post when it came out, and people keep linking it to me when I ask what is going on. It explains the problems with testnet3, it doesn’t at all address your plans to nuke it unilaterally
All I'm doing is demonstrating the weakness that my original post suggested fixing. Simple as that. Sometimes folks don't believe an email, they need to feel the effects.
Hey, I follow the mailinglist but from your e-mails it wasn't obvious that you're going to attack testnet. I personally don't mind but I see how people could perceive it as a dick move for not having a clear heads up to move from testnet ASAP. If I missed an announcement please let me know.
