The National Comedy Center is honoring legendary producer Norman Lear with a special exhibit celebrating his legacy in comedy and civic engagement. The exhibit, which opened today, features rare archival materials and curated excerpts from Lear's sitcoms, such as "All in the Family," "Sanford and Son," and "Maude." The display also includes an original artwork by Shepard Fairey courtesy of People for the American Way's Artists for Democracy campaign, founded by Lear. This tribute recognizes Lear's dedication to championing all Americans' right to equal participation in the democratic process.
