So i know there are groups who claim to give ratings and metrics on how well charities actually do with meeting the needs of those they claim to help.

So, what i'm trying to research now is what amount of the funding is from tax revenue rather than just donations.

Form990 oa what you want. iRS tax filing. However, it is not require d to disclose the source of donations or grants.
