Can anyone point me towards any books on communicating with others in hostile environments where communication is difficult.

Mirror signals, whistles, obscure hand gestures, that sort of thing?

 

 Use their name at the start of every sentence, that should get things back on track

 Oh, for some reason I just assumed you were talking about being at a pub... on re-reading your note I genuinely dont know why 

 God help us all if the pubs become hostile towards communication, seen that happen during covid actually. 

 I mean environments where communication is prohibited and needs to be undetectable and robust.
