a family member has so much junk in his yard you cant even see the ground. now they tell me the plot of land across the street is for sale and they want to buy it so they have a place to collect more shit. this has to be a mental condition of some kind
🫠 is this relative a big time hoarder, or something sounds like they need some kind of intervention
holy crap. and the spouse. 2 car garage with so much shit there is no room for a car. 3 types of towing trailers found on the side of the road. 2 broken cars in the driveway because they were 'a good deal' and their first car ever - now 25 years old and hasnt run in 20 years on the side of the house because 'i just cant get rid of it'
What these plan to do with this all, they better call up the dude that runs that show Hoarders maybe they can get featured 🤣
Could be! Do they say it is “collecting” or do they want spare parts or is there any articulated logic behind it?
they use this term called scrapping. the idea is when you find something you can recondition it and sell it for a profit. Im actually all about this. Ive done it myself. however they have never finished any reconditioning or reused any of the items.
Ooh, I relate to this (at a much smaller scale on tinkering projects). Great concept but yes dangerous if the second half of the process isn’t happening!
