@bb644797 @f9408be4 @55bca1bf Just last week I introduced (or re-introduced) the movie to my kids. it is one of my favorites. So by principal i have to favorite this post. Upon watching the youtube video, I wish i could put more stars. It was an interesting look at the history.
@83feafbe @f9408be4 @55bca1bf I know people like to poop on the second one but I really loved BOTH of them quite a lot. The original felt appropriately retro-computing inspired (which it technically was) and the new one feels very 2000's computing inspired... both work really well, although I really didn't like how they misused Tron himself. Great movies!

@bb644797 @55bca1bf @f9408be4 I need to give the second movie more of a chance. I watched it in the theater, but it didn’t capture my imagination like the first.
@83feafbe @55bca1bf @f9408be4 The first was all about imagination. The second one was more about the ride. It's like the movie Twister. You don't go watch that movie because it has a wonderfully imaginative premise or even a great story. You go because it's an experience and a fun ride with some great characters and acting. In both Tron and Tron Legacy's case, also for the music.
