I’d pay sats for a one-time service but who the fuck needs another monthly subscription for something you might use a few times a year?

 Are they providing any value-added service at all? Hosting, editing, sharing? Why are you using it if not? I agree they should let you download it, but what terms did you agree to when you signed up?

 Good to see the outrage. The outrage means you see the cage we all live in.  

 It’s ridiculous how many apps have subscriptions nowadays.. 

 It’s an incredibly profitable and sustainable business model. I think the inability to do subscriptions in Nostr and bitcoin is a major blocker to our getting a sustainable business model. 

 fwiw, BOLT-12 can do automatically renewing invoices, might be a game-changer for periodic subscriptions 

 Glad I deleted my account there recently.
