ever notice how consumer ethernet UTP is held back by high cost? almost on purpose? I bet it has to do with wifi being more privacy invasive. the majority of people are still using 1Gbe, with rare 2.5Gbe consumer switches, and even more rare 10Gbe lans. sure there is the odd tech savvy guy who is running old decommissioned enterprise
or Aliexpress 10Gbe at home, but this is rare. Most consumer home and office networks that want something faster than 1Gbe will tend to use faster wifi instead for eg. wifi6e 6000ax+. low cost consumer switches are pretty expensive for the decades old tech that they are.
