The whales hold the majority of Bitcoin, rather than everyday people.

Here's why:

Whales: A small number of Bitcoin wallets, often referred to as "whales," hold a large portion of the total Bitcoin supply. These are wallets with 1,000 BTC or more. They include early adopters, crypto exchanges, institutional investors, and some corporate treasuries.

People (Retail Investors): While there are millions of Bitcoin wallets, most of these hold small amounts of Bitcoin, often less than 1 BTC. These wallets belong to everyday users, traders, or small investors.

In terms of percentages:

Roughly 2% of Bitcoin wallets control more than 90% of the total Bitcoin supply. Most of these large wallets are either whales or institutional entities.

So, while many individuals own small amounts of Bitcoin, whales control the bulk of the circulating supply.
