My pastor did his sermons recently on the letters from Paul to the Thessalonians (i.e. 1 Thes and 2Thes, respectively).
It made me want to start reading the Books/Letters from Paul to the Corinthians. The state of the world may make sense as it has fallen short of the glory of God.
1 Corinthians 1:19-20
19 "For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent."
20 "Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?"
If we do not have the wisdom from God's Word, but rather the wisdom of the world, would it not stand to reason that God would confuse those of us whom would try to reason with worldly wisdom rather than reason with the faith of God? Turn our "wisdom" against us and make things worse.
Those of us who once lived in the darkest parts of society, and have turned our lives toward our Lord Christ Jesus have a responsibility to help those who are lost in that pit of despair. God opened our eyes once we turned toward Christ, We should try our best with our second chance to help those who are lost, and to show them the wisdom in God's Word, lest they be confused anymore.
Riches are not made of gold, power, or earthly wisdom; but rather in the unyielding Grace and Mercy of God, and of the Power of Jesus Christ.
