The cash in your hand is your property. Declaring that it will lose its value overnight, by fiat, is a gross violation of your natural right to property, and is hence unethical and immoral.

No 'greater good' will ever justify this socialist nonsense. 

It is more important to be a civilised country than a 'developed' one. And no society is civilised if the natural rights of individuals living in it are not respected.
