Ehh, sure maybe.  The singular World War started in December 1913, with the passage of a certain US law legalizing the largest cartel in human history, comprised of the richest titans of capitalism in the world (who, to their credit, did enable and implement the Industrial Revolution).

6 months later "World War 1" begins.  But really, all we've had between then and now are a series of tenuous ceasefires, hinging on a continued trust in a physically unsustainable existence for our species... Fiat. 

Now that we have tools to allow people to, not only escape that cartels supremely oppressive systems, but actually provide the potential to bankrupt the greedy cartels minions and inflict costs on their evils against others... I think the World War might actually end in my lifetime, or at least my childrens.

Lots of pain to go in the process though, much of it is seemingly imminent.  Keep yourself alert and aware of our situation, today.
