Bitcoin is a multifaceted tool that operates for different people around the world in different ways. for some people it will be a medium of exchange, for some it will be a gold replacement/store of value. 

Over a long enough time horizon I believe what bitcoin really is will become more obvious to people; and thus, people's perspective will change.
