If you repeat a lie often enough, people start to believe it is true. My best guess is that he wants more people to buy his stock and/or buy the bitcoin ETFs. He probably thinks the richest billionaires are not going to buy and self custody bitcoin themselves. So this stance might make it more likely that boomers and rich corporations pump his bags. Just a guess though.
