Good article. Had no idea about this and it’s close to home.
I had no idea and have walked the grounds, really cool. Fun how much we're still learning
I don’t, but many times I have thought of murdering the gophers in the garden. Now I have a new fondness for the critters.
I feel that was about clover 🫂. Send pictures of the garden next year, I bet it's beautiful
 Will do
Cool, that will help the humble gopher’s bad rep. 😁
Nature is amazing
I remember waking up as a young kid in Seattle with half an inch of ash coating everything outside like dirty snow. And most of it had gone the other direction.
One of my first memories, seeing ash everywhere and people wearing bandanas over their faces. My dad built a miniature mountain from it in the backyard and blew off an M-80 he had buried inside to help me understand what had happened.
Sounds a lot more fun. We put some in a jar and then lost it. I remember the masks.
Super interesting. That whole ecosystem is fascinating around the mountain. From blasted devastation to pristine lakes and old growth demarcated by lines of exposure to the blast zone.
