Justice in the Shadows: The Evolution of Black-Box Forensics From DNA Profiling to Blockchain Analytics by @Aaron Daniel "As the number of American households holding and transacting in Bitcoin grows, so too does the pool of potential law enforcement targets." https://www.tftc.io/justice-in-the-shadows-the-evolution-of-black-box-forensics-from-dna-profiling-to-blockchain-analytics/
I have donated to the legal fund in the past, will happily do so going forward as well, but if a coalition of attorneys and people in Bitcoin come together for the legal challenge suggested at the end, please make sure to let us know how we can contribute. This is a really big one to knock down.
Shit... This is terrifying. How does one find ways to contribute to the liberation of so many of our persecuted and prosecuted brothers and sisters? I am honestly scared by the realization that Jesus wasn't the first nor the last sacrifice lamb, socially & politically speaking. I'm not trying to undermine the spirituality of it. But we know that the evil doesn't only lurk. It pounces, destroys, feeds, and prides on its path of destruction. Have we not seen military higher-ups be proud of their genocidal & civilian-killing missions? Bending any set of nobel values to fit their maniacal ethics? This is troubling. But.... Do I live in the prison of my own making, complying to their every rule, or do I die in their prison for trying to live and thrive in a community that attempts to be free?
Similarly, I expect an influx and return of debtors' prisons when people ordered to disgorge their bitcoin cant (perhaps due to a boating accident) and are held in contempt and imprisoned until compliant when they cannot 'prove' they lost their keys.
