Doesn't matter if they are stupid. Only matters that an individual is programmable. IQ may modulate range or types of programming (eg. hands on vs theoretical)

Doesn't matter how smart you are. machine wants reliable cogs. If you are brilliant but run society code in a non standard way, you will be considered broken by some and a nuisance by many. 

eg. a heavily hallucinating chatgpt 4 agent is painful to rely on but a rules based "expert" system that gives precise and correct answers over a limited scope may be quite adequate for a given scenario.

Smart only kinda matters.
