I’m in the ER with my kid (she’s ok) and I went out to get a Pepsi and the waiting room is packed. It wasn’t bad when we came about 4 hours ago. I mentioned it to the MD who’s the director of the ER and he was like it’s staffing. But not what happened right after COVID, when nurses burned out or died and there was a mass exodus. He was like we got nursing corrected and stable and now they’re laying nurses off because “we’re not making money” per the administration.
I mean even this surprises me on some level but wow. Yay, corporate healthcare!
