Bug Out Bag, Bug Out Location, Bug Out Vehicle...

These are all valid terms.
They are also all terms that are part, in the vast majority of cases, of an illusion that some people insist on living in.

The illusion that, in certain scenarios, which for some people begins as soon as they lose Benfica TV, they're going to grab a backpack that they've prepared (very well, but) perhaps for a completely different scenario, and they're going to leave home, head for the first trees they can find, they're not sure where, and go "live in and from the woods"...

I don't think they're going to... live, I mean. Maybe they won't even survive.
The idea is romantic, but for those who have to develop it from scratch, it's unrealistic, to say the least.
At least give it a try. For 5 days beyond the duration of the food you've loaded or, if you've been clever and planned something serious, cached beforehand.
I believe that, the deprivation, and the awakening to the difficulties of the idea will bring you to the reality that it's at home that you'll want to stay until it becomes completely unsustainable to.
And if you want to leave, make it to the wilderness only if you haven't had the chance or ability to find a better solution.
It's obvious that everyone prepares as they wish and as they can.
As I've already said, the idea of Bug Out and associated terms is valid, but... like almost everything, it has to be well thought out and planned.

Otherwise, we fall into B.O.I. (Bug Out Illusion).
And planning and preparing for a Bug Out is not easy.
Friends, Bugging In isn't easy and we're much better prepared for it than for Bugging Out.

Home is where, in most cases, we have the best guarantees of meeting our basic needs.
If you happen to have a second home to go to, all the better. Unfortunately, that's not a possibility for most people.
I'm of the opinion that our home is our castle!

You leave it when it no longer provides the protection and comfort you need and desire. And it will always be as strong as we are willing and able to invest in knowledge, time and money to make it more resilient.
The time to consider leaving your home, in my opinion, is before the storm. In the planning phase. And try to transfer everything that's good about your home to your future home. Everything else is less than ideal, even if it might be necessary.
When it comes to survival and preparation, try to ensure that your plans are not based on an illusion.
Prepare your backpack, and more, to get out.
But don't forget to prepare your pantry to stay! Before it's impossible to do so.
