one of the things that has turned me off #android phones more than anything else has been the way that the lockdowns have gotten harder and harder to bypass... and some of them, like this Magisk thing, are not the Root that i used to have on my devices back in the teenies... back then, samsung galaxy phones and some others could even have a whole custom rom flashed on them

the sense of being coerced and manipulated in my own personal devices has reached a level these days where i don't consider it to be my property anymore and why would i want to use corporate stupid phone so i can feed them intelligence data about me that they have no right to know and i would be stupid to give them
