Looking forward to hearing if the unscalable liquidity requirements have been solved
Either way, the onboarding story is so good and the protocol is so simple that it’s worth exploring. That’s the most interesting thing to me as someone trying to make it easier for people to use bitcoin non-custodially.
If things haven't changed from a year ago then I don't think it is a practical solution as it doesn't scale and is a massive regulatory target. I do think it has several innovative technical concepts that are interesting. I've heard there are improvements to liquidity requirements though which I hope is true and would love to learn more.
I am told there are indeed solutions! Promising enough I just bought a plane ticket to austin the other day to learn more.
I'm curious if you learned more? Is there anything published?
yes with out of round payments there are no liquidity requirements (Arkoor) but they have different security tradeoffs. For zaps, accumulating small vtxos has the same problem as onchain utxos where it’s not really economical to go onchain with a bunch of small vtxos, so lightning and fedimint still make more sense for zapping. https://ark-protocol.org
btw what client are you using? It didn’t seem to construct the nip10 reply properly.
@primal on iPhone. I see it double posted too. Maybe user error but I don't think so.
