 because of the pernicious influence of "hard skin" reddit culture, most of the client devs on nostr don't understand what "mute" or "block" means

 The only concerning thing is NIP-04 DMs to be honest, the rest is already public information - you can gather similar information from any other existing social media network. But even DMs are fixed using NIP-17. Check it out.

However, there is DVM at the nostr which allows you to have empty following list.
