US Surgeon General Dr Vivek Murthy calls lawmakers to add warning labels to social media, similar to cigarette packs, warning of mental health issues to kids:
-requires congressional action
-tobacco studies show, that warning label increases awareness & change behavior
-calls for social media companies to share all their data on health effects with independent scientists and the public, which they currently don't do, and allow independent safety audits.
