Large family question - food sharing/guzzling. nostr:npub16yzlhd25kjjd6gy33pmxudqxfq6tz08umk8feyygh3f9pmjvsusqxlma35
My dad was one of 9, he was in the middle of the bottom half, born in 1928. working class family, plenty there was not. At home when I was a child whenever there was a pack of something - like cakes or chocolates, biscuits, he'd guzzle the lot. and not even seem to enjoy it that much. In order for us to get a share, or just not finish the pack in one go we'd have to hide it. I heard this from others who had parents born in that era. But also from people who came from large families. If you didn't eat/grab fast you weren't getting any because your other siblings (maybe more so boys?) would eat your share.
So is this a thing. Is this a large family thing. Is this a 'from the age of poverty' thing.
