i think it's nuanced and has just enough wiggle room for a chuckle which saves it from being offensive and incorrect. not bad for the nymag. 

also, i wonder if no one ever read newspapers and magazines before the internet because they were always like that... granted there was a track jump and we are adjusting but... it's always been this way. if the jefferson and franklin whores would actually read their publications they might find those two were more work than modern media. anyway - we fixed the worm problem. ✌🏻
