Robert Vaughn, who played Napoleon Solo in The Man from U.N.C.L.E., earned his Ph.D. in Communications & wrote his dissertation on the Influence of the House Committee on Un-American Activities on theater. He turned it into the book "Only Victims: A Study of Show Business Blacklisting" which is still regularly assigned to law students.
