I’m not convinced. It’s like his 'own your data' idea. One good point he raised was recency bias. Facebook won partly by cheating, but mostly by using a simple, reliable stack (LAMP) that scaled. Every open-source copy after tried to be 'clever' with 'modern' tricks, and that’s why we’ve never had a real FB competitor. Nostr could learn from this—every solution lately tries to add some magic trick. Developers struggle to keep it simple. The open-source world missed a chance to just clone Facebook. It’s not hard to copy, but hard not to derail any effort with pet features.
