I think from an Orthodox Christian perspective it should be obvious, or at least consistent with our understanding of the universe that mathematics is not "complete". I say that because we are a creation observing the rest of the creation, so any picture of the creation we might devise is inherently incomplete. The only way to have a complete picture of a system is to be outside the system looking in, and only God has that vantage point. I think therein lies the hubris of many scientists and mathematicians; they fall to the prideful conclusion that we must be able to understand all there is to understand, but we have to be humble and realize that's not for us to do. And that humility, I think, comes across in those scientists and mathematicians who recognize the fact that there exist things that are unknowable to us.
